The monitoring shall be provided 24-hours, 365 days per year, through a customer service center that is U.L. listed to meet the City’s building insurance requirements. When a burglary, fire or holdup signal is received in the customer service center, this Contractor shall be totally responsible for notifying the proper police and/or fire departments and for notifying the proper persons designated on the City’s emergency notification list. 2.2 The Contractor’s monitoring service shall report all “troubles” at any location(s) to the City of Beaumont’s Building Services Division during normal business hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All “troubles” that occur during normal business hours shall be reported on the same day. All “troubles” that occur after hours shall be reported the next business day. 2.3 Contractor shall be responsible for any and all work and related costs necessary to prepare the City of Beaumont=s existing alarm systems so that all scheduled systems will be monitored by the proposed service. The City of Beaumont shall be responsible for providing telephone lines, the cost of those lines and required wiring to the existing equipment. Under no circumstances shall the City alter, modify, or replace existing equipment to accommodate a change in monitoring services. During the term of the contract, the City may elect to replace specific equipment in order to provide improved coverage of its buildings.
