Contracted services to be considered in this solicitation may consist of Advisors, Coaches, Counselors, Consultants, Speakers, and Trainers to support the following divisions: Adult Education: Offers classes to educationally disadvantaged adults beyond compulsory school age in the Houston/Harris County metropolitan area. Vendor must submit credentials with the proposal for courses that provide certification to students. Business Services: Through the School Finance Council, HCDE’s Business Services division serves school district business managers and CFOs. HCDE’s School Finance Council provides training and pertinent information relative to school finance and business operations. Center for After School, Summer and Expanded: Mobilizes the community to work together to ensure that every child in Harris County has access to an after-school program. Center for Educator Success (CES): Developed and designed to transform educator talent pipelines by partnering directly with districts to reimagine a comprehensive approach to educator recruitment, growth, advancement and leadership with the primary goal to inspire a new generation of educators to teach and lead in ways that generate real results and new opportunities for all children. All programming provided by CES is 100% focused on developing quality educators. Center for Safe and Secure School: Advances safe and secure environments in schools, including emergency operations plan assistance. Head Start/Early Head Start: Empowers preschool children, ages six weeks through five years, and their families, with school readiness skills. Head Start is a federally funded program for low-income families, administered locally by HCDE. Vendor must submit credentials with the proposal for courses that provide certification to students. Human Resources: Actively seeks candidates with a passion for education and service through employment and recruitment; compensation administration; training and development; and much more. Information Technology (IT) Services: Our team consists of network analysts, systems engineers, storage specialists, application developers, systems analysts, and Service Desk technicians who provide technology planning, implementation, and support. Maintenance & Operations: Supports Harris County Department of Education by maintaining and improving its campuses, offices and other learning and working environments with cleaning, landscaping, repairs, and many other services. Marketing & Client Engagement: Serves as the “go to” source for branding and marketing. Research and Evaluation: Provides quality, scientific-based evaluation services that meet the needs of HCDE, school districts, and other community groups. Resource Development/Center for Grants Development: Supports efforts to locate and obtain funds which forward new programs, program enhancement, and expansion needs.
