Installation of a new sanitary sewer lateral from the edge of the dwelling/house (or under the home as needed)to the SAWS sanitary connection at the property line in accordance with city, county, or state plumbing codes. This includes all materials, pipe fittings, cleanouts, backfill material, permits, inspection fees, and removal of spoil and excess material. a) Contractors will be responsible for contacting the customer and setting an appointment time for repair/replacement to be made within a 48 hour period of receiving notice from SAWS. Contractor must notify SAWS of appointment time and date to get notice to precede approval. b) Prior to commencing work, the Contractor is responsible for providing SAWS with an estimate for the total cost of the repairs based on the unit prices in the Price Schedule. c) Contractor shall have five (5) business days to perform installationand establish flow in the sewer lateral once notice to proceed is given by SAWS. Final completion, including installation and city inspection, cannot exceed fifteen (15) days from initial request of repair. Extensions will be granted based on unexpected installation issues, weather conditions, or at customer’s request as approved by SAWS.
