Cafeteria The SAWS Cafeteria has an ageing dual-zone (North/South) AV system and requests bids to upgrade the system as follows: Video • The two existing flush mount projection screens, one at North and South end of the cafeteria, will be reused in the new AV system. o Note: The existing projection screens are 120” diagonal, 4:3 aspect (96” x 72”). They are to be repurposed for 16:9 aspect projection, with a rough equivalent of 110” diagonal (96” x 54”) image, and drop limits are to be adjusted accordingly. • Two new 8500 lumen WUXGA 3LCD laser projectors will be ceiling mounted at an appropriate throw distance to properly fill the existing projection screens. o One existing ceiling-mounted projector at the North end of the cafeteria will be decommissioned and returned to SAWS. o Note: SAWS will be responsible for providing 120VAC power at the projector mounting locations. • Four 55” LCD displays will be wall mounted at these locations: o At kitchen entrance wall ? Existing display to be decommissioned and returned to SAWS. o At column behind South-end projection screen. o At first column from South end on outside wall, across from kitchen. ? Existing display to be decommissioned and returned to SAWS. o At first column from North end on outside wall, across from kitchen ( to match South end). o Note: SAWS will be responsible for providing 120VAC power at mounting locations. Audio • Content audio output will be heard over the existing flush-mount ceiling speakers installed throughout the space. • Voice audio enhancement will be provided by six new wireless microphones: o Four wireless handheld microphones o Two wireless lavalier microphones o Notes: ? System will be configured for use of two handhelds and one lav per section (North/South) ? A ceiling mounted access point will be installed near the divider to ensure wireless reception throughout the space. ? The existing microphones will be decommissioned and returned to the client Sources • The AV system will have three available sources: o One laptop input at lectern ? Note: There will be four lectern input wall plates along the outside wall of the cafeteria • North corner (existing) • North by divider (new) • South by divider (existing) • South corner (new) o One feed from Boardroom control booth. o One feed from an existing BrightSign player. ? SAWS will be responsible for all sources feeding the BrightSign player. Control • The existing wall-mounted control panel at the North end of the room will be replaced with a new 7" Crestron touchscreen control panel o A new Crestron 4 Series control processor will be installed and configured to operate the AV system o Control functions to include: ? System on/off ? Source Selection ? Volume +/-/mute ? Divide/Combine ? Audio Routing • North/South/All-On ? Video Routing • North/South/All-On ? Mic Controls ? Vol +/-/mute Equipment • All non-interface audiovisual equipment will be installed in the existing wall-mounted 10 RU rack in the AV/Storage closet at the South end of the room.
