1. Contractor must perform weekly testing for a period of one (1) year on nine (9) fire pumps and nine (9) fire pump controllers and associated fire pump equipment. 2. Contractor must email weekly test results to the TMD Project Manager, Fire Marshal (C.5.2). 3. Contractor must report in writing the condition of pumps and controllers to the TMD Project Manager. 4. Contractor must put the fire alarm system in test for all three (3) hangers prior to testing. 5. Contractor must report the system suction and discharge pressure gauge readings in writing to the TMD Project Manager. 6. Contractor must report in writing any trouble alarms on controllers to the TMD Project Manager. 7. Contractor must turn on and off each control valve and return to normal position. 8. Contractor must lubricate eighteen (18) bearings and eighteen (18) gear drives. 9. Contractor must conduct no churn flow test in the following manner. 10. Contractor must start by drawing water from the sensing line to simulate a pressure drop in the system. 11. Contractor must ensure the start and automatic functions of the controllers and pumps work correctly. 12. Contractor must ensure jockey pump is working and record in writing to the TMD Project Manager the start and stop pressures. 13. Contractor must operate all nine (9) pumps for a minimum of ten minutes. 14. Contractor must record in writing to the TMD Project Manager the pump starting pressure and suction and discharge gauge readings when running. 15. If necessary, Contractor must adjust eighteen (18) gland nuts and inspect nine (9) pump packing glands for slight discharge. 16. Contractor must inspect for unusual noise or vibration. 17. Contractor must inspect eighteen (18) bearings and eighteen (18) pump casing for overheating. 18. Contractor must perform a full flow discharge test as required and log flow meter testing results. 19. Contractor must enter the annual testing into the City of Austin Compliance Engine. 20. Contractor must report all issues found via email during or after testing to the TMD Project Manager.
