Texas State University seeks to obtain proposals for Smoke Testing Services. The services shall be provided to the Texas State University campus in San Marcos, Texas. The minimum requirements and specifications for the services are set forth below including, but not limited to: 1.1.1 Smoke testing approximately 40,000 linear feet of pipeline. 1.1.2 A detailed report and updated map shall be submitted to the University both hard copy and by electronic PDF format. Data shall include but is not limited to the following: 1.1.2.1 What defects have been identified, 1.1.2.2 Location and address of defects, 1.1.2.3 Surface cover with aerial and ground photos and pipe size, 1.1.2.4 Identify any cross connections and location. Provide recommendations and estimated cost to rehabilitate and repair leaks, cross connects, and water infiltration issues. 1.1.3 Notification of smoke testing must be made to the surrounding area as well as the City of San Marcos and the City’s Fire Department prior to the test being conducted. University will take responsibility for notifying the campus about the testing.
