Scope. The intent of this procurement is for the Michael E. DeBakey (MEDVAMC) located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd in Houston Texas to procure an Omnicell XT Supply cabinet system for Nursing Unit 4C. The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment and accessories and services including installation, configuration, and VA network connectivity. All equipment must be new. Refurbished or used equipment will not be accepted. 2. Background. The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) currently uses the Omnicell XT Supply storage cabinets throughout the facility. We are opening Nursing Unit 4C as a temporary ICU and request an additional Omnicell XT supply cabinets for unit consistency and effective supply control management. Maintaining the Omnicell system on this unit will reduce potential errors and loss, improve patient care, and provide real-time inventory levels. 3. Specific Requirements. 3.1 The contractor shall supply the storage cabinets, drawers, shelves, XT console, license, and scanner and 12-month Advantage plan support service. The equipment and accessories must be new (no refurbished or used) and interface with the VA software (VISTA).
