Specifications include, but are not limited to: Shawnee County is soliciting sealed bids for two (2) new/unused 2009 Heavy Duty Dump Trucks with snowplow and sander, and liquid deicing system, per the following minimum specifications. TRUCK SPECIFICATIONS: Engine: Turbo charged mid range diesel SAE rated @ 285 HP minimum @ 2500 RPM and 800 ft-lb. torque minimum @ 1400 RPM. Transmission: Allison MD-3560 6-speed with mechanical shift, heavy-duty external oil cooler, and auxiliary oil filter. Frame: Heavy Duty to carry dump body and sander. Frame shall be extended in front for front mount hydraulic pump, reinforced per manufacturer's standard. Wheelbase should be approximately 204" and provide a minimum of 19' between center of front axle and center of extreme rear axle. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating: 52,000-LBS minimum. Shall not exceed 54,000 LBS. Rear Axles and Suspension: 34,000 LBS rated capacity with 6.50 differential. Front Axle and Suspension: 18,000 LBS rated capacity with oil hubs and front shocks. Steering Power. Brakes: Power, Air with Puralator Pur-Air or Bendix air dryer system, rear with ABS; compressor rated 12 CFM minimum; air tank bleeder shall be accessible from side or rear of truck. Truck must have trailering air brake package with air and electrical connection in the center of the back of the truck.
