The City of Cedar Park is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified architectural firms to provide the services described in this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a new multi-story Public Library located within the Bell District, a public-private redevelopment project between the City of Cedar Park and RedLeaf Properties, LLC. Project Development will include in-depth coordination with the City’s Construction Manager at-Risk (CMAR), to be selected separately by the City, and the overall Bell District Project Team comprised of various City staff. Interested firms are asked to submit a SOQ which includes information on the firm’s experience in the design and construction of other municipal libraries or similarly sized and scoped municipal projects. The statement should also include information regarding the firm’s experience with the CMAR delivery method on other public projects, the firm’s approach to the programming, design, and construction phase services on municipal projects, and experience on designing projects involving coordination with adjacent projects as part of an overall development or participation in Mixed Use Developments and/or Public Private Partnerships. Considerations should also be made and information should be provided concerning the firm’s approach to all phases of design, pre-construction coordination and services, construction administration, and any other services necessary to successfully complete the project.
