Specifications include, but are not limited to: METRO manages facilities in Davidson County and is requesting the services of Contractor(s) to provide the requested services under this scope for all facilities including field & drainage areas and inclusive of turf, shrubs, ground cover and trees, mulching, fall over seeding, bedding areas, trash control, and chemical application. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supplies, chemicals, transportation and equipment needed for complete landscape and irrigation maintenance services. All work must meet accepted standards as set forth in this scope of services. The Contractor(s) must be able to perform work each weekday (Monday – Friday). Work may on occasion be required on Saturday and Sunday or during non-business hours to accommodate traffic and safety concerns upon the site. The Contractor(s) and Designated METRO Department Representative (METRO REP) will work together to establish the schedule for work to be performed during off hours. The Contractor(s) shall maintain all grounds free of litter, debris or other detriment. This shall include all buildings and common areas, lawns, bedding areas, flower beds, tree rings, parking, sidewalks, hard surface areas, roadsides, roadways, curbs, gutters and fence lines or similar and natural areas. Areas shall be maintained free from paper, trash, stumps, limbs, twigs, leaves, and weeds, visibly dead or other undesirable material. When working on the site the Contractor(s) is responsible for trash pickup adjacent to the work area regardless of work being performed. The Contractor must provide all supporting documentation for any invoices submitted to DGS for the cost of material (i.e. fertilizers, mulch, chemicals, pesticides and insecticides, irrigation etc. The Contractor shall submit any alternative cost/materials for the scope of work to the DGS for their review and approval. The Contractor must provide all supporting documentation for the cost of equipment rental needed to perform the contract scope and it must be approved by DGS. Hourly rates will only be applicable upon the Contractor's personnel/equipment arrival at the work site. The Contractor shall submit a yearly schedule of all landscaping services at all DGS managed facilities. This schedule shall include detailed information on the frequency or irrigation, mowing, weeding, trimming, pruning etc. in each site and expected associated costs/facility.
