Specifications include, but are not limited to: Parking lot surfaces shall be cleaned and free of any standing water and foreign materials by contractor immediately prior to seal coat application. Cleaning and preparation are to be done per the sealcoat manufacturer for product application and longevity. Crack Seal All cracks greater than 1/8" should be crack sealed. All cracks are to be free of all vegetation, dust and debris all the way to the bottom of the crack. All cracks MUST be dry to ensure proper adhesion of the sealant material. Cleaned cracks shall be filled with hot applied rubber asphalt crack sealer. All products used in crack sealing shall be compatible with each other and all asphalt sealcoat products. Seal Master or Gem Seal has been chosen as the acceptable product to be used for this project. Project is based on the use of Seal Master or approved equivalent. Sealcoat is to be applied at a minimum (properly mixed rate) 1 gallon per 70-82 sq ft, with a minimum of 2 coats. Product must be mixed and applied per manufacturers recommendations. All existing pavement markings and parking striping within the project area will be repainted as they currently exist with a quick drying traffic-rated paint. Provide documentation on brand and specifications of proposed crack sealant and sealcoating products. Traffic Control as needed.
