Specifications include, but are not limited to: The reconditioning service must be authorized to recertify helmets to meet the standards of the National Operating Committee for Safety in Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE) and of the manufacturer of the helmet. o Contractor must provide pick up and service for the maintenance and repair of the athletic equipment. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for the return of the reconditioned equipment to the proper location(s) as specified by MNPS. o Contractor will be reconditioning and recertifying the equipment (no sub‐contracting) will personally visit and inspect all helmets on site. Plus, an inventoried list per account will be supplied according to condition and state of work to be performed. Provide documentation of all helmets remaining at said campus, all helmets, that are being sent to contractor and helmets that are being discarded due to age or unfit use. o Contractor must be able to recertify/recondition and recalibrate InSite equipped helmets. o Clean, sanitize, buff, sand, and perform any other appropriate service found to be necessary in the return of helmets to said customer according to NOCSAE standards. o All cage and snap hardware must be replaced with new stainless‐steel hardware. o All interior parts are to be examined for damage and replaced with only original manufacture current year parts o All helmets must have warning labels, sizing labels, current year certification labels, and initial season date label applied on the outside of the shell.
