Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State intends to secure one (1) contract for the provision of community risk reduction services to aid the State Fire Marshal’s Office, Fire Education and Outreach Section in its efforts to provide community risk reduction and fire prevention resources to the public and fire service in the Middle Tennessee area. a. Deliver all fire safety and educational materials, including but not limited to, brochures, handouts, Sparky the Dog costumes, fire extinguisher training props, pop-up banners, and smoke alarms to local fire departments. b. Perform compliance checks at local fire departments that received smoke alarms as part of the Get Alarmed program. c. Follow-up with local fire departments that have received community risk assessments; popup banners, as part of the Close the Door program; or other safety or educational materials that require the submission of paperwork. d. Recover any unused fire safety or educational materials or supplies from local fire departments. e. Contact local fire departments that experience a large loss fire to gather information about the incident and determine how the Department of Commerce and Insurance, State Fire Marshal’s Office (State Fire Marshal’s Office) can assist the fire department. Contractor shall notify the Community Risk Reduction Coordinator of any assistance requested. f. Contact local fire departments that register a smoke alarm save through the Get Alarmed program to gather information about the incident to ensure compliance with grant reporting. g. Help with the planning, logistics, and coordination of, and attend, smoke alarm installation canvasses or other fire safety education events held by local fire department or the State Fire Marshal’s Office. h. Conduct basic training and technical assistance for local fire departments, including but not limited to, incident reporting, fire department recognition registration and renewal, and any other State Fire Marshal’s Office programs (Get Alarmed, Close the Door, Community Risk Reduction, etc.).
