Specifications include, but are not limited to:The City of Knoxville is requesting proposals from responsible firms and/orteams to provide for the processing and disposal of residential yard waste collected from approximately 60,000 households and from City maintenance operations. Yard waste material consists of such items as brush, wood, leaves, Christmas trees, garden trimmings, grass clippings, and other household yard waste organic materials collected by City of Knoxville Public Service Department (PSD). Yard waste will be delivered to an agreed upon location or locations where the City will unload the waste and the contractor will immediately become responsible for processing and proper disposal of the yard waste materials. The City is very interested in entities who propose to process and dispose of the yard waste materials in an environmentally sound and economically viable manner. The City will consider proposals utilizing a single site and/or multiple sites for operations
