Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. CONTAINERS: Containers shall be of polypropylene construction, especially designed for extremely rugged service, with plates anchored and supported in a manner to minimize vibration in said service. 2. TERMINALS: Terminals shall be arranged for end to end installation on approximately 400 batteries. Battery cable studs to be 3/8" - standard threads on the negative post and 7/16" standard threads on the positive post and be affixed to terminal brackets so as to cause both studs to be rigid mounted with no end play. NUTS MUST BE INSTALLED. Approximately 75* batteries will be standard top-post. 3. HANDLES: 1/4" diameter polypropylene rope carrying handles are to be included to facilitate handling and fixed in a manner to allow installation in compartments of limited height. 4. PERFORMANCE LEVEL: a. Cold cranking - 1100 AMPS @ 0° Fahrenheit (-17.8° C) b. Reserve capacity - 390 minutes reserve capacity at 80° Fahrenheit (26.7° C). 5. NUMBER OF PLATES: Number of plates per cell shall be a minimum of 17. Specify in bid the number of plates per cell on which bid is based. All batteries are to be furnished wet (with electrolyte).
