MATA is requesting bids on three types of batteries for a period of three-years. Successful bidder will be required to maintain a 30-day supply (at the contractor’s location) on hand at all times during the course of the contract. Damaged Merchandise: If the shipment, when received, has been damaged in transit and is no longer usable, Contractor will be required to replace such damaged items or to credit the charges to MATA’s account. Any claims that have to be filed with the carrier are the Contractor’s responsibility. Damaged Batteries are the sole responsibility of the Contractor. Lead Time: Seller will notify MATA in writing of any changes in lead time of materials affected by backlog, strike or any other reasonable event. This written notice will be issued if normal delivery will be in effect + two weeks from the established schedule.
