Specific Cab Over Truck needs are currently unknown. It's Metro's intent to make multiple awards to all responsive and responsible offers within the competitive range. Metro will solicit bids/quotes to all awarded contract holders for the specific truck needs and issue a purchase order to the lowest bidder except for in an emergency or timely situation. There will be two (2) categories of Cab Over Trucks. Category one (1) will be for Cab over trucks with a GVWR of 19,500 lbs. and below. The second category (2) will be for GVWR 19,501 and above. Bed types could include but not be limited to Landscape, Flat bed, Rear load or Side load trash bodies. Chassis could be regular cab, crew cab or dual driver style. The chassis including all necessary equipment shall be furnished and delivered new, complete and ready for use. All parts not specifically mentioned but which are necessary for the complete unit shall be supplied and installed by the vendor even though such work or materials are not specifically outlined and shall conform in strength, quality of material and workmanship to the best practice known to the Automotive Industry.
