Project Description There are approximately 96 water services in the southwest portion of the City of Germantown that are supplied potable water by MLGW because the City of Germantown does not have available water supply in this portion of the City. Germantown Public Works has worked with representatives of the Wildwood Farms property owner to discuss the possibility of acquiring easements to take the proposed water system across the farm from Stout Road southward and from Germantown Road westward. This project will include extending the water main from Riverdale Road southward to Stout Road as well to feed the 12 Germantown homes in Maywoods subdivision tying into the cove terminus from MLGW and delete the feed from MLGW’s system. There will be a need to connect the Cotton Plant subdivision homes to the Wildwood Oaks homes via a property line to property line connection to serve the area and loop the water supply. Included in this work are submittals and question responses to TDEC’s Division of Water Resources for approval of the water system extension. The selected firm will provide 100 % design, specifications and bid sheet. The firm will also support the City through the prebid, bid, bid evaluations, and BMA approval. Construction Inspection and project management will occur as a supplement at the time of the Construction approval.
