Maury County, Tennessee is requesting bids for the purchase and transportation of mixed #1 and #2 plastic from the Maury County Solid Waste Department. All offerings made under this invitation shall meet or exceed the detailed requirements as set forth in the attached minimum specifications, drawings and plans, if any. All values specified in the invitation shall be considered as minimums, unless otherwise specified. Maury County Solid Waste (MCSW) collects source segregated mixed #1 and #2 plastic from various locations within the county. This material is brought to the main location, the transfer station, located at 1233 Lawson White Drive in Columbia, TN. The material is then loaded onto a conveyor where inappropriate items are removed from the stream. The conveyor feeds a baling system that produces bales that are approximately 5 feet wide, 4 feet deep, and 2.5 feet tall. Bids should be submitted on a price per pound basis, which is to include transportation from 1233 Lawson White Drive to the final destination. MCSW staff will load the bales of material onto the bidder provided transportation vehicle. Any scales used for payment purposes other than those provide by MCSW must be certified with a copy of the most recent scale certification provided with the remittance. All remittances should be rounded to the nearest penny.
