Maury County, Tennessee is requesting bids for the purchase and transportation of recycled glass from the Maury County Solid Waste Department. All offerings made under this invitation shall meet or exceed the detailed requirements as set forth in the attached minimum specifications, drawings and plans, if any. All values specified in the invitation shall be considered as minimums, unless otherwise specified. Maury County Solid Waste (MCSW) collects source segregated glass from various locations within the county. This glass is sorted into clear and colored, but may be combined at the time of collection if that is the desire of the successful bidder. This material is brought to the main location, the transfer station, located at 1233 Lawson White Drive in Columbia, TN. The material is then stored in concrete bunkers until it is ready to be loaded for transportation. Bids should be submitted on a price per ton basis, which is to include transportation from 1233 Lawson White Drive to the final destination in a bidder supplied container. MCSW personnel will load the bidder supplied container and notify the bidder when a pickup is needed. Any scales used for payment purposes other than those provided by MCSW must be certified with a copy of the most recent scale certification provided with the remittance. All remittances should be rounded to the nearest penny.
