The purpose ofthis bid solicitation is to contract with a vendor to provide fire, security, and life safety system services/products to Bedford County, and its Authorized Users in efforts of keeping facilities compliant with all applicable fire safety codes and regulations. The following categories must be considered and covered in the bid. 1) Backflow Prevention System as it relates to sprinkler systems. 2) Sandpiper/Stand Pipe Inspections (where applicable) for buildings with existing standpipes and fire hose systems in service to be tested annually. 3) Automatic Fire Pumps yearly inspections 4) Fire Sprinkler Systems yearly inspections 5) Fire Detection/Fire Alarm Systems Specifically for installed devices and equipment including, but not limited to, all smoke detectors, heat detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, flame detectors, water flow switches, pull stations, remote annunciators, horns, strobes, fuses, lamps, LEDs, control panels, control equipment, batteries, and wiring or cabling. 6) Special Hazard Fire Suppression Systems - These systems protect computer rooms, fuel pump islands, clean rooms, rare documents, telecommunications centers, tire storage facilities and many other high-values and/or high-hazard assets.
