Specifications include, but are not limited to: providing Security Services. Functions include services regularly provided to the Jackson State Main Campus, and as needed at the Lexington, Paris and Savannah Centers; Proposer shall maintain background checks on all employees who will work at the College. The checks shall include a minimum of criminal records checks, fingerprint submission, driving records check and three personal references. A copy of the records check shall be provided upon request to the College. The Proposer shall not employ anyone at a College Facility with a criminal record indicating any felony, or any misdemeanor involving violence/assault, theft, or drug/alcohol use. All assigned personnel will be of good moral character. All employees must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s License. All Proposer employees shall complete a fingerprint background (e.g., Identogo standard in the State of Tennessee). The successful Proposer shall establish and implement procedures and practices to ensure that all keys/access cards provided by the Institution are not lost, misplaced, or used by unauthorized persons. No keys issued to the Proposer shall be duplicated. The successful Proposer shall report the loss of keys/access cards to the Institution within 24 hours. In the event any keys/access cards are lost by Proposer personnel, the Proposer will be assessed a $50.00 to $200.00 reduction per key from the monthly invoice. The Proposer shall provide up to four hours of training to newly assigned personnel at each post. Each guard, including his or her supervisor, must be taught special duties, such as emergency procedures and the operation of security and fire alarm systems.
