The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to pump and remove accumulated debris, rags, grease, grit, and other solids from the wet well of the facilities lift station(s). Work shall be performed in accordance with these specifications. A. Cleaning 1. Lower vacuum hose into wet well, pump down liquid level to expose debris. 2. Skimming of trash / debris from the top with a vacuum hose. 3. Use high-pressure water to break up solids and wash debris toward suction point. 4. Remove all solids, grease, and rags until wet well floor and walls are clean. 5. Collect all removed material in vacuum truck for proper disposal. B. Inspection, after cleaning, inspect wet well for 1. Structural defects 2. Corrosion or damage to walls 3. Condition of pumps, guide rails, floats C. Clean-Up 1. Secure and replace all covers. 2. Remove all equipment and debris from site. 3. Restore site to pre-work condition. D. Waste Disposal 1. All removed materials shall be disposed of at an approved wastewater treatment plant or permitted landfill.
