• Vehicles requiring repair shall be picked up from and delivered to the Office of Fleet Management at various Metro locations within Davidson County, by the Contractor(s). o Contractor(s) must include pick-up from and delivery to Metro locations with no additional charge to Metro for vehicles under warranty or for failed repair correction. (Applies to vehicles that must be towed due to faulty work by the vendor or due to issue(s) covered by warranty Rendering the vehicle undrivable.) o Contractor (s) shall provide pick-up and delivery service (if available) of 'operable' and 'non-operable' vehicles not under warranty for Metro at a Flat Fee. (Flat Fee is defined as a lump charge for pick-up and delivery of vehicles not under warranty and must be entered on Cost Spreadsheet to be included in any agreement.) This is an optional service, not required of offerors, and not included in the bid evaluation. • Contractor shall have a repair facility within a 2 - hour response time radius (one way) of the Office of Fleet Management Heavy Shop or Light Shop maintenance facilities. • Successful Contractor shall have the proper equipment and experienced and trained personnel with appropriate certifications needed to perform warranty work and is an authorized warranty service center for specified vehicle brand(s) being proposed on. • Contractor(s) that have been in the Western Star maintenance and repair business for FIVE (5) YEARS will be preferred. • Vehicles requiring repairs must be picked up by Contractor within 24 hours on repair request. • Maximum general shop supplies not to exceed $100.00 per vehicle per trip. • On-line access to parts inventory. o Service parts In Stock to be delivered to OFM within 24 hours of ordering. o Special Ordered items (Non Stock Parts) must be delivered to OFM within 72 hours of ordering. o Expedited part orders requiring freight charge of any amount, regardless of shipping method, must be approved by the Fleet Manager or his/her designee. • Core credit must be credited within 10 days, except any core unit requiring manufacture review and acceptance. • Part warranty credits must be credited within 15 days.
