The portable radios shall provide multi-band capabilities to operate in the following frequency bands: 700/800 MHz: 769 – 870 MHz UHF: 380 – 520 MHz VHF: 136 – 174 MHz The portable radios shall provide the following capabilities for user controls and displays: 1. Push-to-talk switch 2. On-Off/Volume knob, mounted on top 3. Emergency button, mounted on top with easy access 4. Top-mounted rotary switches allow use of three "banks" of channels/talkgroups, each bank consisting of 16 channels/talkgroups 5. Top-Mounted display will have the ability to change colors to identify specific talkgroups, at a glance. 6. Front display with two lines of text (minimum 12 characters per line) and status icons for battery status and in-range indicator 7. Display shall be readable in all conditions from direct sunlight to total darkness 8. Instant Replay – Subscribers must have the ability to store and play back the last 5 calls
