• Clean Parking lots of all debris • The contractor must have a schedule of at least 48 hours of dry, warm weather both before and after the application of the sealcoat. • Both the air and pavement temperatures must be between 50°F and 90°F during application and for at least 24 hours afterward. • If rain or other weather events affect the quality of the application, the contractor is responsible for correcting any defects at no additional cost to the client. • For projects with cracks in parking lot, fill with crack filler. • For projects requiring sealing: Apply two (2) coats of Coal Tar Sealer. • For projects requiring overlay, 1.5 inches of asphalt is required. • For the Shackle Island Com project, entrance shall consist of 2" of B-Mod and 1-1/2" of E-mix for the entrance. • Re-stripe parking lot with same layout including handicap spots with commercial street striping paint. In cases where handicapped parking signs have not been installed or are missing, the Contractor will install the signs as noted in TN Code § 55-21-108. The signs must be green on white with the blue and white International Symbol of Access, indicate "RESERVED PARKING" and "UNAUTHORIZED PARKING PUNISHABLE BY $200 FINE AND SUBJECT TO TOWING". The sign's dimensions must be a minimum of 12" x 18", and if a space is van-accessible, it must include the phrase "VAN ACCESSIBLE PRIORITY FOR WHEELCHAIR USER" • The County will work with the contractor on certain times and dates for this project, except where noted in the matrix. • Under “Additional Repairs” the County will need a statement of what will occur and estimated cost of the repair. • The County will have all equipment and vehicles moved out of the parking lot. • Bidder must schedule a site visit tour and verify quantities before bidding. Site visits are required to bid on a project. The County will be hosting two site visit tours consisting of 15 sites. The estimated time of the site visits is a total of 3 hours. The tour will begin promptly at 9:00 CST on Tuesday, October 21 and Friday, October 24th . The starting point for the tour will begin at the County Administrative Building located at 355 North Belvedere Drive, Gallatin, Tennessee 37066 Room 112.
