Parking and Pedestrian Access Analysis. The Contractor shall identify parking lot design needs to effectively address capacity and traffic behavior conflicts. The Contractor shall provide options for alleviating access conflicts via built improvements, re-routing, signage, and/or parking relocation. The Contractor shall identify and map optimal locations for relocating and expanding parking while maintaining ease of access and high-quality recreation experiences. The Contractor shall identify and map new access routes and subsequent design elements needed to implement them. A.7. Trail Connectivity Analysis. The Contractor shall provide options for connecting the Cumberland Trail to the northward Crab Orchard Area through the Lone Star tract identified in the Cumberland Trail State Scenic Trail map (Attachment 2 and found here: Cumberland Trail State Scenic Trail). The Contractor shall ensure that the options for connecting the Cumberland Trail to the northward Crab Orchard Area through the Lone Star tract complement parking, access, and connectivity recommendations. The Contractor shall consider and evaluate the feasibility of utilize Interstate 40 right-of-way to connect the Cumberland Trail without requiring private parcel access.
