Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to engage an independent contractor to provide law enforcement liaison services to the BHS for a two (2) year contract period . The agreement resulting from this RFP shall also include options to extend the law enforcement liaison services beyond the two (2) year contract period no more than two (2) times, with each extension being for an additional one (1) year. The contract extension is at the option of the vendor and State. Total contract period will not exceed four (4) years. The contractor will assist the BHS in achieving its highway safety related goals to include: Increasing law enforcement participation in BHS enforcement activities Promoting BHS programs aimed at reducing the number of alcohol related fatalities Promoting BHS programs aimed at increasing safety belt usage by all motorists Promoting BHS programs aimed at reducing the number of speed related fatalities Promoting law enforcement participation in Traffic Records Systems projects
