MATA is seeking proposals from qualified attorneys and law firms to provide legal services on an as-needed basis. MATA is seeking proposals from attorneys/law firms in one or more of the following areas of legal expertise that are covered by this RFP: Public Entity Law/Procurement and Contracting: • Conflicts of interest laws and regulations • Ethics • Public Transit and Transportation, including DOT and FTA regulations • Negotiated procurement under federal and state law • Title VI and Environmental Justice • ADA • FTA procurement and contracting regulations, guidelines and best practices • Negotiated procurement under federal and state law • Litigation Public Sector Labor/Employment Law: • Collective bargaining, including familiarity with public sector state and federal labor law (e.g. NLRA) • Labor arbitration proceedings • 13(c) issues • Federal, state and local discrimination and leave laws
