The Sumner County Sheriffs Office is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide materials, labor, and expertise necessary for the resurfacing of shower floors and walls in designated areas of the Sumner County Jail located at 117 West Smith Street, Gallatin, Tennessee37066. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all necessary surface preparation, product application, and site cleanup, with a goal of improving durability, sanitation, and safety in inmate shower facilities. The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision to complete the following work in accordance with professional standards and applicable regulations: • Areas to beIncluded: • Population Unit Showers (10 total) • Ad-Seg Showers (8total) • 1AF Shower (1) • Juvenile Shower (1) • Medical Showers (2total) • Cell Showers (Cells 11, 12, and 13) • General Scope per ShowerArea: • Mechanical surface preparation of floors and walls (e.g., diamond grinding or profiling of substrates). • Smoothing or resurfacing of CMU walls and concrete/tilefloors. • Application of a waterproof wall coating system with solid color finish. • Installation of a slip-resistant flake floor system, including integral covebases. • Curb construction or pitch modification to ensure proper drainage where specified. Materials and coatings shall be resistant to cleaning agents, heat, moisture, and heavy foot traffic. Work area temperatures must be maintained at minimum 60° F during installation.
