Veterans Affairs, NCO-9, is seeking information for vendors interested and capable of providing items meeting the below saliant characteristics: Ford Wheelchair Van Repair Statement of Work INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK: Contractor shall furnish all parts, installation, and labor for the repair of one (1) 2016 Chevrolet Express wheelchair van, VIN 1GB3GRBLXG1132244, License plate VA-24065, for the Alvin C. York, VA Campus, Veterans Transportation Service. BACKGROUND: VTS (Veterans Transportation Service) provides transport to Veteran patients between campuses and to and from Veteran s residences, the service uses wheelchair vans for this purpose. VA24065 currently has 180575 miles and needs complete brake repair. Other vehicles are available to transport ambulatory patients, but no other vehicles are available to transport patients in wheelchairs. VTS is composed of 11 drivers that serve 33 to 40 Veterans a day over the Middle TN area. The repair of this vehicle is essential to VTS daily mission REQUIREMENTS: Remove and replace all necessary parts to bring the brake system to operation as per design, below are the recommendations from dealer, some parts include front and rear brake pads, front and rear rotors, caliper, hub seals and brakes hose. Delivery: Brake system repair will include parts warranty by manufacture (Ford) Repairs will be coordinated with Transportation Supervisor All labor; parts and service fees will be included in the cost of this contract. Vehicle will be tested for performance and leaks. Condition of vehicle: The contractor accepts responsibility for the vehicle As is and is responsible for bringing it back to engine drivability. REPORTING REQUIRED SERVICES BEYOND THE CONTRACT SCOPE: The Contractor shall immediately, but no later than 24 (twenty-four) consecutive hours after discovery, notify the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer s Representative COR (in writing) of the existence or the development of any defects in, or repairs required, to the scheduled equipment which the Contractor considers he/she is not responsible for under the terms of the contract. The Contractor shall furnish the CO and COR with a written estimate of the cost to make necessary repairs. Vehicle is currently unsafe to operate parked at the Alvin C York campus and, Contractor shall perform repairs in accordance with their shop scheduled, Government is not responsible for overtime.
