Wall Preparation: The following services are included in this proposal: Surface preparation: All surfaces will be properly prepared before painting. This includes patching minor imperfections in the drywall, sanding rough areas, scraping and sanding loose or peeling paint, and filling nail holes. Protection: Must take all necessary precautions to protect MTSU property. This includes covering floors, furniture, and other surfaces with drop cloths and plastic sheeting. Painting: Apply 1 coat of paint to the walls with no color change. Apply up to 3 coats on a change of color. (specifically, from dark to light.) Cleanup: At the end of each workday and upon project completion, we will perform a thorough cleanup of the work area. All debris will be removed and disposed of properly. MTSU does not have cleanup facilities. No brush cleaning may be performed in any MTSU spaces including but not limited to Restroom sinks, Custodial sinks, Water fountains, etc. Trim Preparation: Surface Preparation: All trim must lightly sanded. Any small imperfections must be filled and sanded. Metal Trim may need “Bondo” filler. Trim with heavier imperfections must be heavily sanded or sand blasted prior to painting. Protection: Must take all necessary precautions to protect MTSU property. This includes covering floors, furniture, and other surfaces with drop cloths and plastic sheeting. Painting: Apply appropriate number of coats of paint to trim. Paint must be appropriate for trim application. Ex: No wall paint on trim. Direct to metal paint is required for all metal trim. Acrylic latex may be used. Materials Contractor must provide all rollers, brushes, buckets, drop cloths, tape, and any other miscellaneous supplies as part of the overall price.
