Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) is soliciting bids from a qualified and experienced Contractor for Helmet Reconditioning. Scope of work is to include: * Helmet Recertification: * The reconditioning service shall be authorized to recertify helmets to meet the standards of the National Operating Committee for Safety in Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE) and the helmet manufacturer. * Pickup and Service: * The contractor shall provide pickup and service for the maintenance and repair of athletic equipment. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for returning the reconditioned equipment to the specified location(s) as directed by MNPS. * On-Site Inspection and Documentation: * The contractor shall personally visit and inspect all helmets on-site. An inventoried list per account shall be supplied, detailing the condition and state of work to be performed. Documentation shall be provided for all helmets remaining at the campus, those being sent to the contractor, and helmets being discarded due to age or unfit use. * InSite Equipped Helmets: * The contractor shall be able to recertify, recondition, and recalibrate InSite equipped helmets. * Cleaning and Sanitization: * The contractor shall clean, sanitize, buff, sand, and perform any other necessary services to return helmets to the customer according to NOCSAE standards.
