The scope of services includes the construction and installation of 350’ of 4” MDPE polyethylene natural gas distribution main along Lights Chapel Road in compliance with Springfield Gas System requirements. Main to be installed via horizontal directional drill (HDD). The services to be provided will include, but not be limited to: 1. Contractor is responsible for the installation of 4” MDPE polyethylene natural gas distribution main. 2. Installation method shall be by horizontal directional drill (HDD). 3. Installation and drill path shall conform to plans and specifications as set forth by engineer. 4. Contractor is responsible for all phases of the project including set up, pilot hole, backreaming, pipe pull back, traffic control, erosion control, and final clean up. 5. Contractor shall pull back two (2) 12-gauge copper tracer wires along with one (1) 1-inch MDPE polyethylene pipe for future use. 6. Springfield Gas System shall supply all 4” MDPE polyethylene pipe and tracer wire. 7. Contractor is required to obtain all permits from the Robertson County Highway Department. Contractor is responsible for all required bonds. 8. Contractor shall attend a pre-construction meeting with Springfield Gas System personnel prior to the start of the project. 9. Contractor shall follow all technical specifications to properly install the 4” gas main per Springfield Gas System policy and procedures. 10. Contractor shall supply an HDD as-drilled bore profile upon successful completion of the bore.
