1. Locate and access existing fiber slack at utility poles adjacent to each designated traffic cabinet along Highway 66. 2. Install cable guards on utility poles where fiber is being routed from aerial to underground, to protect the fiber from mechanical damage and meet utility safety standards. 3. Pull existing fiber slack underground, including: - Placement of tracer wire along the entire underground route. - Ensuring proper slack management and protection during the pull. 4. Route the fiber to the nearest underground vault that serves the associated traffic cabinet. 5. Label and document fiber paths, vault entry points, and tracer wire endpoints. 6. Restore all disturbed areas, including sidewalks, roadway shoulders, landscaping, and pavement to original or better condition. 7. Coordinate traffic control, if required, in accordance with local DOT standards. 8. Adhere to all local and state permitting and utility marking requirements, including TN One Call.
