The work of the Contract in general consists of construction of the following sanitary sewer improvements: Base Bid: Force Main Replacement A. Approximately 6,600 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE force main. B. Bore and Jack crossing of SR63 and Elkins Road (260 total feet). C. Connections to existing pump station discharge pipe and WWTP influent line. D. Plug valves and air release valves. E. Connection to existing low pressure pump service line. F. Strap-on flow meter at Elkins Road pump station. G. Other appurtenances required for a complete, functional system. H. The allotted time for construction is 180 days. Alternate Bid: A. Supply and install 2 chopper pumps at Elkins Road pump station. B. Route and connect new pump cables to existing VFD's. C. Replace existing mounting bases if necessary for new pump station. D. Modifications to existing wet well grout placement if necessary. E. Other appurtenances required for a complete, functional system. F. The allotted time for the Alternate Bid tasks is an additional 90 days to the Base Bid contract.
