Williamson Conty Schools (WCS) is currently accepting proposals for qualified contractors to perform Septic and Grease Pumping and Hauling and Related Maintenance for the entire school district. Bidders shall submit sealed bids, using the forms attached. Bidders may also include any related literature, written materials or specifications pertinent to their services with their submittals. WCS intends to possibly award this RFB to a select group of 2-3 vendors. The awarded vendor(s) of this project will provide Septic & Recirculation Tank & Grease Trap Pumping and Hauling and Related Maintenance services to the district. • Septic tanks should be fully pumped and completely empty one (1) time per year during or around summer break and top skimming solids during winter break. • Recirculating tanks should be fully pumped and completely empty one (1) time per year during or around summer break and top skimming solids during winter break. • Pump/lift stations are to be pumped as needed (i.e., pump failure). • The majority of the grease traps only, require being pumped once per year during or around summer or winter break. The following three schools (grease traps) must be pumped twice per year: Summit High, Franklin High and Nolensville High. • Summer break is defined as after the last day of school through July 31st each year. • During any as needed pumping operation, the driver will be required to remain onsite until WCS maintenance completes inspection, cleaning or any repairs, etc. to the septic and recirculation tanks. • All tanks, regardless of type, shall be subject to an occasional as needed or emergency evacuation or pumping. • Appropriate resources – Service provider must have tanker trucks that range from 2,500 – 9,000 gallons to ensure a complete evacuation of the grease control equipment in an efficient and timely manner. • Technicians/drivers must be trained, authorized and certified to provide septic services and inspect grease control equipment in accordance with the guidelines of the City of Franklin, Williamson County Government, State of TN, and Federal EPA regulations. • Disposal Security – Disposal manifest must identify final disposition of waste at a facility permitted for receiving and processing septic, sludge and grease waste material. Proof of this disposal is required in the form of a signed manifest by a qualified employee at the disposal site. This manifest should be delivered back to Williamson Country Schools to be on file in order to show compliance. • A complete list of schools indicating where each septic tank, recirculating tank, pump/lift and grease trap is located is included herein. • The estimated total gallons of all septic and recirculating tanks that WCS currently owns is approximately 380,000 gallons. • The estimated total gallons of grease traps in WCS district is approximately 102,000 gallons. • The Award PO’s will provide specific school addresses and septic, recirculation, lift station or grease trap details (size and frequency of service).... The appropriate bid rate will be applied to the corresponding PO’s.
