Device and TEC Pressure Gauges
The Material-Plasma Exposure eXperiment (MPEX), a superconducting magnet, steady-state device, is being constructed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), going forward referred to as “the Company,” to address the harsh conditions inside a fusion reactor. This device, as designed, will have the unique feature of being able to conduct accelerated lifetime tests of plasma-facing components, including those that have experienced neutron damage. ORNL is requesting a quote for the same or a domestic equivalent pressure gauges compatible with high magnetic fields (up to 1 Tesla) and high temperature (up to 150°C) are used to monitor the axial pressure range, 10^-8 Torr to 760 Torr, of the MPEX vacuum chambers. An additional pressure gauge is used to monitor the plasma pressure, 1 Pa to 10 Pa, under the same environmental conditions.
