The State's Tennessee Highway Patrol (“THP”) Dispatch centers are responsible for receiving emergency and nonemergency phone calls, dispatching the appropriate response to events, and servicing internal and external customers. The mission of the THP is to ensure safe and efficient transportation while promoting highway safety through enforcement and education. One way of accomplishing this mission is to provide a cloud-based Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. A cloud-based CAD system is a mission-critical software platform designed to streamline and support the operations of public safety agencies. A cloud-based CAD system facilitates the efficient intake of emergency and non-emergency calls, the real-time dispatch of appropriate response units, event tracking, and the coordination of responders, all hosted on a secure cloud infrastructure. This system will also integrate with a telephony system.
