The project will include interior and exterior restoration work to the historic Clover Bottom Mansion, repairs and demolition of ancillary site buildings, cemetery and overall site restoration, and all required related work. The historic mansion will receive exterior repairs that include masonry work, window repairs, porch restoration, siding and shutter repairs, and painting. Interior work will include refurbishing existing restrooms to make them code compliant, adding a dishwasher to the break room, repairs to damaged finishes, structural repairs to the back interior stairway, flooring repairs, and painting. Ancillary site buildings that include two slave cabins, carriage house, monitor-style barn, chicken coop, and a former cabin now used for storage will receive new paint and/or limewash. Site buildings such as the 1,700 square foot barn and the pigsty will be demolished. Work related to the cemetery includes repairs to the existing headstones, masonry elements, and metal perimeter fencing. Site work will include site lighting upgrades, perimeter fence repairs, parking area expansion, and demolition and removal of two existing deep well caps on southeast corner of the historic mansion.
