The selected contractor will research best practices and develop a charter school authorizer toolkit, which provides charter school authorizers with the information and support needed to effectively authorize, support, and evaluate charter schools. The toolkit developed by the selected contractor will incorporate the requirements set forth by the State, Tennessee state law, SBE Rule 0520-14-01 and Quality Authorizing Standards (SBE Policy 6.111), and best practices from the National Association of Charter School Authorizers (“NACSA”). The selected contractor will also provide six (6) professional development sessions on topics in the toolkit with a focus on ways to support new charter operators. These sessions may be inperson or virtual.
