Specifications include, but are not limited to:FRAMING Vendor will provide museum-quality preservation/conservation framing using the highest quality types of mats, glass, and materials. Vendor will follow framing recommendations provided by Metro Arts. This may include, but is not limited to: · Safe transportation of artwork, as necessary, between artist, framer, secure storage space, and within Metro buildings until installation is complete. · Identification of framing and presentation plan for individual artworks in cooperation with Metro Arts and Metro General Services; · Ensure works of art on canvas, linen or wood panel have adequate cross supports. · Provide and install artwork identification labels with information provided by Metro Arts. · Provide warranty of at least one-year on services and materials used in custom framing. · Perform the framing according to the project schedule and framing plan. INSTALLATION Vendor will provide museum-quality installation standards. This work may include, but is not limited to: · Identification of installation plan for individual artworks in cooperation with Metro Arts and Metro General Services. · Provide and attach appropriate hardware to wall and artwork. · Use museum-quality security hardware, where required. · Provide pedestals and vitrines as needed for 3-D artworks.
