All information contained in this sources sought is preliminary as well as subject to amendment and is in no way binding on the Government. Information submitted in response to this notice is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Government is requesting that restrictive or proprietary markings not be used in response to this notice. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in the Federal Contract Opportunities website, NASA SEWP, or GSA. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this sources sought. 1. Title: Omnicell XTE Automated Dispensing System Upgrade 2. Purpose: The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification, Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Small Business. (SDVOSB/VOSB), Hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, woman owned small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After reviewing the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on GSA eBUY or Contract Opportunities website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors must respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this source sought announcement. Background The James H. Quillen Veterans Affair Medical Center (VAMC) has a requirement to upgrade the medical center s existing Omnicell XT Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADC). The Omnicell XT units are no longer compliant with Windows security upgrades and thus no longer serviceable by the vendor (Omnicell) due to the operating system (windows 10). This upgrade will be replacing all ADC PC hardware components (touchscreens, keyboards, hard drives) and software operating systems in each automated dispensing cabinet. Small Business Concerns are encouraged to provide responses to this sources sought to assist the VAMC in determining potential levels of competition and general market pricing available in the industry. Therefore, vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing along with their responses to the above.
