Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 The Contractor will make available one or more examiners to perform Market Conduct Examinations on insurance companies identified by the Division of Insurance. The Contractor will, with approval of the Division of Insurance, designate an Examiner in Charge (EIC) for each examination. 3.2 The EIC will participate in pre-examination planning meetings with the Division of Insurance and the company being examined and provide time and cost estimates for the examination. The EIC will submit preliminary data requests to the company. 3.3 The EIC and other examiners, if any, will travel to the examination site and perform the Market Conduct Examination in accordance with the latest version of the NAIC Market Regulation Handbook and directions from the Division of Insurance. The EIC and examiners may conduct the examination off-site when appropriate. The EIC will be in charge of examining all areas requested by the Division of Insurance and will request all necessary company files and use sound sampling techniques where appropriate
