This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued to provide personnel, vehicles and equipment to provide laundry services at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home in Hot Springs, South Dakota. The offeror is responsible for the pickup and delivery of all soiled and clean laundry. All laundry must be cleaned in accordance with the administrative rules of the South Dakota Department of Health applicable to Nursing Facilities, ARSD 44:73, including, without limitation, rules addressing linens and infection control. Items to be laundered include bed sheets, bed spreads, pillow cases, bath and hand towels, wash cloths, bath blankets, soakers, clothing protectors, blankets, mattress pads, flat mop heads and cleaning cloths. Pickup and delivery cycles will be determined by the offeror and approved by the Veterans Home as long as an adequate supply of clean laundry is available between deliveries.
