The new website should enable users to easily find relevant business information and resources for economic development in South Dakota. The selected Offeror must demonstrate expertise in: • Website development and maintenance. • Economic development marketing. • Responsive and accessible design. • Data-driven decision-making. The Offeror will collaborate with GOED to perform the following duties: • Evaluate the current website (sdgoed.com), assessing design, navigation, usability, and functionality. • Redesign the site to create a seamless and engaging user experience. • Implement industry best practices, including modern user experience/user principles, search engine optimization, and mobile responsiveness. Key Features & Functionally Branding & Messaging • Develop a website that aligns with the South Dakota brand and highlights its economic advantages. • Position South Dakota as a profitable and attractive business destination. • Focus on key industry sectors: Manufacturing, Bioscience, Value-Added Agriculture, Livestock Development, Precision Ag, and Cybersecurity. Intuitive & Responsive Design • Clean, contemporary, and user-friendly layout (inspired by sites like Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, etc.). • Fully responsive design for all devices and major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). • High-resolution media support (images, videos, and interactive content). • Optimized page speed and balanced text-to-graphics ratio. Content Management • Provide an easy-to-use content management system (CMS) for internal GOED staff. • Enable real-time content updates by GOED staff. • Support ongoing website maintenance, including updates and technology fixes. • Analytics & Reporting: • Monthly website performance reports (traffic, engagement, top-performing pages).
