The extent of work under this contract includes all of the work, labor, hauling, cleanup and furnishing of equipment as is specified for the removal of approximately 1,500,000 gallons of liquid wastewater sludge from the wastewater treatment plant lagoons. The routes will be established by the City of Yankton using designated State, County and City roadways with the furthest route being approximately twelve (12) miles round trip. The contract shall also include furnishing all of the labor, equipment, etc., that is required to incorporate the wastewater sludge below ground so that no sludge is visible at the land application site. The agronomic rates will be determined by City Staff. All sludge application requirements will follow City of Yankton sludge permit SDL-023396 regulations. (A) EQUIPMENT: The contractor shall be responsible for supplying the following equipment (City will not furnish any equipment). AT LEAST: 1. Tankers shall be used to haul to the field sites. 2. Either a pump mixer or a portable dredge. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor and fuel or power to operate either piece of equipment. 3. One load stand for the loading of tankers and all hoses and any other equipment needed to fill tankers. (B) CLEAN-UP: The contractor shall be responsible to clean-up any sludge spillage along any haul routes immediately.
