SD DOT is requesting bids for a Stainless Steel Tanker meeting the enclosed specifications to be delivered to Mitchell, SD. 5600-Gallon 2 axle Stainless Steel Tanker. Deep Drop Double Conical, Exterior Ring, Non-Code Trailer Shall be 5600 gallon minimum, 6500 gallon maximum • 30" Deep Drop Double Conical • Shell Material to be T304 Stainless steel, 12 gauge minimum. Two-piece barrel with one circumferential weld • Shall have internal baffles to prevent liquid from sloshing back and forth in tank. • Venting done by 3" minimum free breathing with elbow and splash deflector • Vent shall allow the emptying of the tank without having to open any top vents or manholes • Shall be 4” stainless steel drain pocket with 4” 90-degree flange stainless steel elbow attached outlet valve. 4” T to pump Line with 3” valve 3” SS cam lock connected to 3” Hose forward to pump connection to sump. • Pump discharge plumbed 4” stainless to both curb and street side, with ¼ turn valve to 3” Camlock. • 3” stainless steel camlock cap on each discharge. • 3” stainless steel suction T to pump with 3’ stainless steel male cam lock to face curb side of trailer with a ¼ turn valve before suction tee to allow drafting with this male cam lock through pump. • All fittings and pipe shall be 4” stainless steel plumbed to & from motor driven pump. • 13hp gas engine driven pump electric start 12vdc to include battery. Engine and pump to be enclosed in a stainless-steel cabinet with door to open for easy maintenance on pump and motor. • Hose Carriers: Aluminum trough 4" high x 8" wide x 22' long curb side, Aluminum 8” x 21’ Tube on Street side rear. With 2 doors • Shall have a manhole cover of 20 inches minimum. • Pressurizing Line: Air pressurized 3/8“ SS pipe to ball valves for blow down at all shut off valves before 3” cam locks. To clean out product from plumbing. • Shall have fenders over trailer tires and mounted on front of trailer to cover over the top of truck tires. • Shall have air ride suspension. • Shall have 10-hole hub piloted wheels. • Shall be oil filled hubs • OEM standard disk brakes • Must have anti-lock braking system. • OEM aluminum 22.5 X 8.25 wheels • 11R-22.5 14 ply radial tires • Shall have 2 speed landing gear. • Shall have ladder to access manhole on top of tanker. • Ladder shall be mounted to side of trailer and shall be made out of aluminum or stainless steel. • Shall have LED lighting and lighting shall meet federal and South Dakota laws. • Vendor decals and advertisement will not be allowed. • All equipment shall be painted manufacturer's standard color. • All self-propelled equipment & trailers shall be equipped with all lights required by South Dakota laws, including clearance & identification lights where required. • Necessary documents for licensing (SDDOT, 700 E. Broadway, Pierre S.D. 57501). • Turn Signal Lights: Manufacturer's standard. • Pre-delivery: Regular manufacturer's standard warranty & complete pre-delivery inspection required with each unit. Each unit must be completely serviced by successful bidder in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. The crankcase, differential, transmission & hydraulic system must be filled to recommended capacity. • All Federal Safety requirements must be met.
