The primary component of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety GIS project will encompass the utilization of all existing and available source data, GIS files, and the necessary coordination and management to complete the statewide aggregation of the digital base map. 1) GIS Services Description: Proposers must outline the GIS and/or database services included in their proposed solution that facilitates the transition to geodatabase routing for all Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) in collaboration with the State of South Dakota NG911 System Service Provider. 2) Data Management and Maintenance Methodology: Proposers must describe their management and maintenance service and detail any limitations by accepting the data provided by DPS within their approach and workflow for managing and maintaining the data. 3) Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Map updates: Proposers must describe their methodology for ensuring that the CAD and Rapid SOS Maps are updated and kept consistent with the GIS routing data. 4) Spatial Interface Delivery: Proposers must provide a description of how their service will ensure the delivery of GIS based data, daily corrections as necessary, and services for the contract period that will upload the location information to the Spatial Interface that enables PSAPs to manage data within the Location Information Server(s). 5) Location Information Server Inclusion: Proposers must describe their process for including the functional maintenance in conjunction with the Location Information Server(s) as part of their solution. This includes a method for updating the data as Service Order Input changes are made by the local service providers.
