Specifications include, but are not limited to: These specifications provide for the furnishing of four (4) heavy-duty radius dump-type combination, self-unloading spreader body, in current production with parts being readily available. Workmanship is expected to be of high-quality throughout in accordance with acceptable industry-wide practice and, where acceptable, to meet FMVSS standards. The unit shall consist of a steel body, center discharge/feed conveyor, minimum one spinner to be located on the left side of the truck under the frame rail. Spinner and mounting assembly is to be 304 stainless steel, to include a 24-inch polyurethane spinner disc, power drive hydraulic motor, and all components necessary to make a complete operating unit. The spreader shall be capable of hauling and rapidly discharging, in piles or windrows: crushed rock, gravel, hot mix asphalt and spreading sand and chips for seal coating, plus abrasives and/or chemicals for ice control. Unit must be capable of discharging at least six cubic yards per minute. Bidders must submit, with their bid, complete specifications for the unit that they propose to furnish. Sander, spinner assembly, and accessories are to be shipped, not mounted. All components are to be delivered to: City of Sioux Falls, Fleet Management, 1000 East Chambers Street, Sioux Falls, SD. All shipping costs are to be paid by vendor. All mounting hardware and instructions are to be shipped and delivered with units. The vendor will be required to fully insure all equipment stated in this bid up to the date of delivery and acceptance by Fleet Management at our shop, 1000 East Chambers Street, Sioux Falls, SD.
